QoS (Quality of Service) is an advanced feature that helps you set priority for specific applications and devices so that they can perform better with lower latency.

Different Deco models have different support for this feature.

Devices supported both Application QoS and Device QoS:

Deco M5, Deco P7, Deco M9 Plus, Deco X20, Deco X60, Deco W3600

Devices supported Devices QoS only:

Deco M4, Deco E4, Deco W2400, Deco P9, Deco S4, Deco AC1200

Here we take Deco M5 and Deco P9 as examples to show you how to set up the QoS feature.

Part 1: Set up the QoS feature on Deco M5.

1. Launch the Deco App, find the QoS on the Network page, and click Get Started.

2. Set Total Bandwidth, and then tap Next.

Before using QoS, please contact your ISP to get your exact download and upload bandwidth. Entering a bandwidth that is too low or high may affect your QoS performance.

3. Select devices as high-priority devices, then tap Add. If you don’t want to set device priority, tap Skip.

4. Tap to prioritize an online mode that is most important to everyone on the network. Online activities in the prioritized mode will run smoothly when the network is crowded. If you select Standard, no activities are prioritized on your network.

Tap Done to complete the configuration.

5. Please click on the QoS section to change the settings if you want.

And on the QoS>High Priority Devices page, you can click on the device to set priority duration for it.

Part 2. Set up the QoS feature on Deco P9.

Before using QoS, please contact your ISP to get your exact download and upload bandwidth. Entering a bandwidth that is too low or high may affect your QoS performance.

Then the QoS configuration is finished. You can change the bandwidth settings or high-priority devices if you want.
