Below we list some problems you may encounter.
No LED on at all for regular wireless router
- Confirm whether you have enabled LED control function (Not all the wireless router supports this feature)
- Change another outlet to plug it
- Hold the reset button/hole to hard reset it according to the Quick Installation Guide.
- Ensure that it is the original power adapter
- Change another power adapter
Conclusion: There is still no LED light on, please email TP-Link Technical Support with the model number, serial number, hardware version, and proof of purchase to get a replacement.

No LED on at all for mini/nano router
Note: There is only one led existed.
- Change another outlet to plug it
- Change another USB cable or another USB port
- Change another power adapter
- Hold the reset button/hole to hard reset it according to the Quick Installation Guide
Conclusion: There is still no LED light on, please email TP-Link Technical Support with the model number, serial number, hardware version, and proof of purchase to get a replacement.

Ethernet led does not come on
- Ensure that there is a device connected to the Ethernet ports
- Change another Ethernet cable or device
- Connect the WAN port to one of the Ethernet ports with one cable
Conclusion: The Ethernet led is still off, please email TP-Link Technical Support with the model number, serial number, hardware version, and proof of purchase to get a replacement.

Wireless led does not come on
- Ensure Wi-Fi button/switch is turned on if there is one
- Login to the web interface to confirm that the wireless function is enabled
- Hold the reset button/hole to hard reset it according to the Quick Installation Guide
Conclusion: Still the same, please email TP-Link Technical Support with the model number, serial number, hardware version and proof of purchase to get a replacement.

Internet led does not come on
Please refer to What should I do if the internet light is off or there is an error message “ WAN Port Unplugged” on the TP-Link router page?
Note: some specific devices only have one LED light. Like TL-WR940N V6, please check its Quick Installation Guide for more details about its light status.
Router keeps rebooting
