TP-Link'S TL-WR743ND WINS WITH POE FUNCTIONS, VALUE IN HONGKONG, CHINA
Chinese Hongkong’s PC Station awarded the TL-WR743ND 150Mbps Wireless AP/Client Router with their Best Cost to Quality award for its exceptional wireless performance, affordability, and most notably the router’s PoE functions. The review notes the router’s speed using 802.11n technology to achieve speeds up to 150Mbps. Also mentioned was the routers QSS button, short for quick security setup that allows for near instant security setup without the traditional hassle that comes with it.
In the PCS review, special attention was given the TL-WR743ND’s Power over Ethernet function which was noted as a rare function to find on a small home and office product of this nature. PoE is a technology included with the AP that transfers power as well as data over a traditional CAT5 or Ethernet cable. This allows users to flexibly locate their devices without the need to be attached to a power outlet so as to achieve the most convenient location possible for optimum signal coverage such as on a ceiling.
Finally, the editor noted the AP/Client Router’s powerful 5dBi detachable antenna that allows for stronger antenna upgrades and works great for users working with wireless Internet service provider.
