TP-Link and Tapo Recognized for Three Products at the IFA Innovation Awards 2026

BERLIN, Germany -- September 5, 2026 -- TP-Link Systems Inc. today announced that it, together with its Tapo brand, has been recognized as an IFA Innovation Award 2026 Honoree. Three products were honored in the Smart Home category: the Archer 8 Ultra, the Deco 8 Ultra, and the Tapo T150.

Presented at IFA in Berlin, the IFA Innovation Awards celebrate breakthrough design and engineering, judged by an independent panel of technology journalists and industry experts. This year's Smart Home honors recognized the following TP-Link and Tapo products.

Archer 8 Ultra

The Archer 8 Ultra is one of the first Wi-Fi 8 routers reaching consumers, with regional pre-orders opening September 30, among the earliest to put the new IEEE 802.11bn standard to work. Where Wi-Fi 8 is defined less by raw speed than by reliability, its 18 internal antennas and TP-Link's Wi-Fi 8 StabilityEngine strengthen coverage at the edges, ease congestion, and power through interference, holding connections steady even in the busiest homes.

Deco 8 Ultra

Following in Q1 2027 as one of the first Wi-Fi 8 mesh systems, the Deco 8 Ultra carries that same reliability-first approach across the whole home. A three-pack blankets up to 9,800 sq. ft. and supports more than 200 devices connected at once, while advanced multi-AP coordination enables Deco units to work together more intelligently, making every connection, in every corner of the home, more reliable and higher-performing.

Tapo T150

Launching later this month, the Tapo T150 is a 5-in-1 smart presence sensor that uses radar to sense whether a room is genuinely occupied, picking up even someone sitting perfectly still while filtering out false triggers from pets, robot vacuums, and running fans. By folding presence, motion, temperature, humidity, and light into a single battery-powered device, it does the work of several sensors at once and makes reliable, whole-home automation simpler and more affordable.
