Should I use Dynamic IP or PPPoE?
The connection type to use dynamic IP or PPPoE depends on ISP and how you connect the router.
It is recommended to choose Dynamic IP for your router when it connected to a main router like pic 1.
Or you are suggested to confirm with ISP about the connection type if you wire the TP-Link router to ISP directly without another router in between like Pic 2. And we collect the common connection types of some regular ISPs below for reference only.

ISPs may change their settings on a daily basis, it is strongly advised to contact your ISP before connecting to the internet.
