Check Your Valve Type
There are two types of valves: Thermostatic and Manual.
Smart Thermostatic Radiator Valve is only compatible with the thermostatic valve.
A thermostatic radiator valve detects the room temperature and automatically adjusts the intake of hot water by pushing in and out the pin to maintain a constant temperature in the room. The Smart Radiator Thermostat only works with thermostatic radiator valves and it replaces your existing thermostatic valve head.
A manual valve can only simply turn on or off. You need to manually turn on or off the valve to adjust the room’s temperature, unlike a thermostatic valve that can automatically regulate hot water flow to change temperature. If you unmount the valve head of a manual valve, you’ll find that there is no pin that can be pushed in and out.
